47. Vual (Uvall / Voval) - Goetia Spirit of Love, Reconciliation and Emotional Connection

The forty-seventh spirit described in the Ars Goetia is Vual - also known as Uvall or Voval - a Duke associated with love, friendship, emotional restoration, and peaceful connection between people.
Among Goetic spirits, Vual carries one of the calmest and most socially oriented currents.
Not aggressive.
Not oppressive.
More like emotional gravity quietly pulling people closer together.
Who is Vual?
Traditional grimoires describe Vual as first appearing in the form of a dromedary camel before taking on a human appearance.
Modern practitioners usually describe something much different.
An androgynous figure with pale hair, green eyes, and white wings, often wearing golden armor or a hooded cloak.
There is something unusually open and approachable about his presence compared to many other Goetic spirits.
And perhaps that is why he became strongly associated with friendship and emotional bonds.
Spirit of Love and Reconciliation
Classical texts state that Vual can:
inspire love and attraction;
restore damaged relationships;
create friendship between enemies;
strengthen emotional closeness;
reveal past, present, and future events;
Unlike spirits connected to obsession or domination, Vual’s current feels softer and more relational.
Not forced attachment.
Mutual emotional movement.
Why Practitioners Approach Vual
Modern occult practitioners often approach Vual when:
communication in relationships has collapsed;
emotional distance needs healing;
friendships or romantic bonds require restoration;
loneliness becomes emotionally overwhelming;
peaceful reconciliation is desired instead of conflict;
His current tends to work gradually.
Conversations soften.
Tension weakens.
People become more emotionally open.
And connections that seemed frozen sometimes begin moving again.
The Nature of His Current
Vual is often described as highly communicative and emotionally intelligent.
Some practitioners even associate him with telepathic or intuitive communication - not necessarily hearing words, but understanding emotional states more clearly.
His influence is frequently experienced through:
emotional calmness;
restored empathy;
easier communication;
increased warmth between people;
reduction of hostility or emotional resistance;
There is very little violence or pressure in his current.
Only movement toward connection.
A Spirit Between Worlds
Some occult traditions speculate that Vual may have origins connected to ancient Middle Eastern or desert spirits associated with hidden knowledge and wandering between distant places.
Whether symbolic or historical, the imagery fits surprisingly well.
A spirit connected to distance.
And to closing that distance.
A Practical Observation
People often expect dramatic reconciliation overnight.
But Vual’s influence usually feels natural.
Someone reaches out unexpectedly.
Conversations become less cold.
Emotional walls lower slightly at a time.
And slowly, connection returns where separation once existed.
